BP 10A Brushless ESC Programming Guide
Never exceed the maximum voltage rating of the speed controller. 2)
Do not run the speed controller too close to its limiting current without adequate cooling. 3)
Never disconnect the battery when the motor is running. 4)
We strongly suggest that you use an overload fuse in the battery circuit. If the motor is stalled or stopped, with the power on, then it will draw much more current than usual and burn out the speed controller. An overload fuse can prevent this type of damage. Also, the BEC provides a regulated power supply to the receiver. Usually about 0.5 amps. A stalled servo can draw 2 or 3 amps and damage the BEC which in turn can cause damage to the receiver.
