The HobbyWing (HW) series of Cheetah ESCs is programming card compatible. This allows for quick adjustments in the field for flight optimization while avoiding the hassle of manual, stick-programming.
New: Programming card compatible
For 4-10 NiCd/NiMH cells, 2-3 Li-Poly Cells
30A Max continuous on 3 Li-Poly
35A Max Burst current
User programmable brake
User programmable low-voltage cutoff type(Lipo or NiCd/NiMH)
Throttle range self-adjusting
Soft start ramp up
Auto motor cutoff with reset
Safe power arming program ensures motor will not run accidentally after turn on
Low torque start
Auto shut down when signal is lost
Max RPM: 20,000 RPM with 14 pole motor
~7.0" servo cable
Note: If using 4 servos with 3-cell Li-Poly batteries, you will need a 4.8V receiver pack or an external switching BEC to provide power to your receiver.
Cheetah HW30A Brushless ESC Programming Guide
Never exceed the recommended battery voltage listed on the package. Do not use a separate battery supply with this controller. Never disconnect the battery supply when the motor is running. We strongly suggest that you use an overload fuse in the battery circuit. For example, a motor will run at 4 amps therefore a 5 amp speed controller is adequate. If the motor is stalled or stopped with the power on, it will overdraw current and burn out the speed controller. An overload fuse can prevent this type of damage. Also, the BEC provides a regulated power supply to the receiver. Usually about 0.5 amps. A stalled servo can draw 2 or 3 amps and damage the BEC which in turn can cause damage to the receiver.
